So, she has been in isolation for 2 weeks. If she is still good and eating by next week, I think she will be fine to integrate. Yes??? No???

Glad to hear the girls in sick bay are making progress!

The storm got to us last I guess since I live on the “very edge”. Still super gusty here but the sun is shining and the air is cool.

Lots of wind overnight. It tore some siding off my crazy neighbor’s house.
Well not “off”, there’s a trimpiece that is supposed to cover the facia board just under her roof line. It looks like is only being held on by a screw or two.

That sucker flapped and banged and vibrates and rattled all night long.

Cooper was BESIDE himself.
He whined, cried, barked and growled no matter what we did. I’m hoping he has a really good nap today because I know I need one.

If I knew I wouldn’t pull the whole side of her house off I’d go out there with gloves this morning and rip that piece off.
Two pieces really. Connected in the middle. Maybe 30 feet total.
She’s so crazy I’m afraid if I knock on her door about it this morning she'll somehow accuse ME of vandalizing her house.

My only hope is that she’s the tiniest bit curious about what the heck all that racket was last night and come out today and do a walk-about of her house and see it for herself.

She has been treated for internal and external bugs, her feathers are growing in well and poop is more normal..........

I personally would try. If she gets picked on at all I would do the see but no touch for a while.

Your birds seem pretty accepting of newcomers.

The competition for food might get her eating better.

I think she will be fine. Mel loves everyone. The first day he saw the chicks he was showing them food. When I got Henni out of the car, he walked over to greet her. The area Henni would go in are all bantams, so I am not really worried. All the chickens share a run and coop, there is a screen up to separate both to give Mama D and the babies their own secure area. I blocked their coop door open with a log yesterday, because of the wind, the bantams wouldn’t even come out they were so scared of the log! Dum-Dums.

I am glad I don’t have a crazy neighbor. If they are they hide it well, not sure I hide my crazy well. I like to keep it real.

I got new harnesses ordered for the puppies.
We will see if they help with stopping the freight train behavior.

These have a leash point in the chest and on the back.
The chest clip should cause them to turn toward the walker when they pull.

@Sassysouth You should see a small weight gain in a few days with the more solid food. Between that and her eating on her own, she should pick up weight steadily until she's at here healthy body size. If you can, try not to tube feed except for medication. Fill her crop once a day if she's eating some on her own, fill it twice daily if she doesn't have anything, or very little in it for the entire day for 2 consecutive days. Once she's eating decently on her own, you can taper off on the amount you're giving her and then just monitor her weight. As long as she's gaining steadily she's good.

And remember to give the second dose of wormer on time!

I did a quick "thank goodness" walkaround the house, the only thing that blew off was a piece of porch lattice.
I'm glad I was fast, that woman who wants stumps ground just "showed up" shortly after I went in.
I am not in a stump talking mood so I hid lol! She had hubs phone number, he's the one she's after not me.
I'm noticing little Dick is very grabby like his mother, he is very bad to snatch stuff from your hand and bite your sleeves.
Henry still just has that staring problem, hopefully he's not going to be creepy Henry.
