Rae sounds like you have a kid who will not be afraid of doctors. Maybe he will even become one. Kids that seem "weird" usually are "gifted," which isn't diagnosed till later. They see things in different ways. Before my son could read, he would study operation manuals and be able to set and run complicated machinery, just by seeing diagrams. Had to keep an eye on him.
Oh I know he's pretty dang smart. He isn't even 3 and can count to 100, sight recognize numbers up to 30. He taught himself the complete alphabet from educational songs we would play for him by the time he was 26 months. He's starting to show that he recognizes that numbers are more than just shapes with names. He's coming up to me with a handful of whatever he is playing with and accurately telling me how many he has. He isn't quite there with letters as he'll still say things like "G is for Mommy". He's constantly amazing me.

I need more colorful birds.

I don’t know how I feel about those. I think I prefer yellow. It reminds of those weird looking black chickens, Ayam Cemani.
I have a mix of the cemani and she's beautiful. She has brown eyes and has some redness to her wattles, but other than that she is black w/ iridescent green on her body feathers. I thought they looked freaky too, but she's beautiful. She was a bonus chicken the lady threw in w/ my orps (I think she knew she was giving me 2 boys and wanted to round it out, not that it matters to me).

I tossed Klaus back out w/ everyone Wed night, but put her in a cage at night, then into the separated area during the day yesterday. Last night I let her out w/ everyone. She tried to start something w/ Loki & Jackie, but I moved her away from the group and when she made her way back they all got to dusting and everyone was fine. I put them all in together last night and when I went back for lock up everyone was alive and no one appeared to be bleeding so I left her out. Everything seemed fine this morning. William is so weird b/c when I let Klaus out he was all over her like she was a new hen he'd never met before and he needed to woo her. He was dancing his little wing off for her.
I'm going to get some hardware wire to get the run reinforced so I won't have to keep locking them up at night. Since I don't live there it's a pain for them to wait until I get there to release them, esp when it's hot.

Couple days ago there was a mealworm massacre, my package popped open flooded the post office with worms and several were in bad shape.
I sorted out the carnage best I could and fed those to my nesting wren and my skink herd.
Well i'm out of bodies but my skinks and wren keep coming.
Amazing how low on the threat level you get when you have goodies, my toe just got skink tasted.:D
