Morning RJ .......morning all other Squatchers![]()
Oh I know he's pretty dang smart. He isn't even 3 and can count to 100, sight recognize numbers up to 30. He taught himself the complete alphabet from educational songs we would play for him by the time he was 26 months. He's starting to show that he recognizes that numbers are more than just shapes with names. He's coming up to me with a handful of whatever he is playing with and accurately telling me how many he has. He isn't quite there with letters as he'll still say things like "G is for Mommy". He's constantly amazing me.Rae sounds like you have a kid who will not be afraid of doctors. Maybe he will even become one. Kids that seem "weird" usually are "gifted," which isn't diagnosed till later. They see things in different ways. Before my son could read, he would study operation manuals and be able to set and run complicated machinery, just by seeing diagrams. Had to keep an eye on him.
I have a mix of the cemani and she's beautiful. She has brown eyes and has some redness to her wattles, but other than that she is black w/ iridescent green on her body feathers. I thought they looked freaky too, but she's beautiful. She was a bonus chicken the lady threw in w/ my orps (I think she knew she was giving me 2 boys and wanted to round it out, not that it matters to me).I need more colorful birds.
I don’t know how I feel about those. I think I prefer yellow. It reminds of those weird looking black chickens, Ayam Cemani.
