I had sooo many fubar worms i'm glad they ate them, the chickens are too suspicious to even try.
Iv'e got tons of 5 lined skinks the blue ones and the red/brown big ones.
Got carolina anoles out the butt too, if I was scared of lizards i'd be screwed.:p
I am glad you found a use for them Chicky.

 I have to look up "skink". Yes I live where there aren't lizards or many crazy bugs like y'all have.

So sheltered....

I looked them up. They are pretty cool.

I've seen a few skinks around here. I always geek out a bit when I find them. I was a lizard person when I was younger. I liked keeping Green Anoles and I even once owned a green iguana who I named Feisty.

I still geek out and they're here everyday in the spring/summer. It is really cool to see an old guy that has changed colors and just gotten huge!
Nothing must be really messing with them this year, everybody is fat and still have tails.

Couple days ago there was a mealworm massacre, my package popped open flooded the post office with worms and several were in bad shape.
I sorted out the carnage best I could and fed those to my nesting wren and my skink herd.
Well i'm out of bodies but my skinks and wren keep coming.
Amazing how low on the threat level you get when you have goodies, my toe just got skink tasted.:D
Did they call you to clean it up??? Skinks are sort of ugly to me. I prefer the Anoles.

We need some pictures! Have you named any of them?

What????? Your hen is over 10 years old???? If so, what kind is she???

Itty Bitty is a bantam black cochin. She and Smudge are elderly. Smudge is just 9 years old lol.

Smudge has never gone broody and has hardly ever laid eggs. She is a silver laced bantam cochin. I lurves her even though she is very poorly marked and pretty useless. :p

Fun fact.....if wanting females of the silver laced variety but having to choose from a bin of straight run.....get the absolute darkest chicks to increase your odds.

Nope, they were nice put my damaged box in another one and delivered it anyway. :)

Ok! I do have one old guy named handsome. He's been coming even when my parents were alive, he isn't really handsome either he's old and battle scarred but I like him.

Yup. At 10+ years old she needs to not be broody.

I figured she would head down the broody road since she has been laying regularly for a while now.
Well at least her lesson would be cute, dumb as a baby turkey but cute.:D
