I got this little cutie on clearance.

Most of the plants are salvaged from my butterfly garden. The hot pink penstemon should draw in lots of bees.

Holy Mackerel, that's gorgeous. You are amazing at building. My stuff is held together with tape and zip ties often. No wonder my husband always "fixes" it for me. I'm so impressed. Now come over and build me one.

P.S. I love Dianthus, they are my favorite flowers.

I have what's probably a stupid question...
What's up w/ William's feathers? His chest his patchy and you can see in the first pick that he's got a bald neck. In the lower pictures, esp the bottom one you can see that his wings are very rough looking. He did a full molt last fall. He turned 2 in Feb.. I've checked him and several others for mites and whatnot... he dusts, but not as frequently as the hens. Is this normal wear and tear? My hens that molted last fall look amazing still & the few that have been in a perpetual molt for the past few months look terrible, but even their feathers aren't this damaged. I was thinking about giving him a puff of poultry dust to see if that helps, but haven't b/c I cannot find the container. View attachment 1812724 View attachment 1812725 View attachment 1812727

Some of my birds are starting to look a bit ratty this time of year from all the wear and tear. Feathers are getting old on birds. The molt isn't all that far off now. Many will begin in August to September.

All 71 made it there alive and well. They seem to be doing just fine in the brooder.

Glad to hear it! I believe that it is less dangerous to them to be shipped as chicks than as eggs.

Otherwise, the hatcheries would just ship eggs -- eggs are much too fragile to survive the Post Office! Chicks are already survivors, they survived being an egg and hatched.
