I know Windy had a really tough start in life. She actually made it 5 years ish.

I have a few more older hens. I worry about Cinders and Jazzy a lot. Cinders has a pendulous crop and Jazzy has heart issues. :hmm

In other news.....

I have made progress on the pond. Not much but progress none the less. The waterfall rock backtracks under it. I will refigure that out here in a bit. I got waterfall foam to add and a big flagstone piece. if it will work.

If not I may just get a decorative pot and plumb that in.

Tilly is still my temper tantrum dog.
She wants to go bark at the city mowing team in the alley. I say no so she violently flipped her food dish. Feed is across the entire floor. :hmm
Just keep the old girls as happy as possible, really all you can do.
The pond, the neat thing is you can pretty much use anything and it will look amazing.
You're one of those gifted people.
Never would have though sweet floppy Tilly would be a brat, tell her i'm mildly disappointed.:caf

Yesterday William was being a jerk and following me around, trying to cause trouble, so I scooped him up while I was peeling a banana for everyone. I wiped some on his beak and he started eating it & his pupils kept dilating. Apparently he likes banana a lot, but he never gets any b/c he's a gentleman and lets the greedy hens eat it all.
Did anyone else have trouble getting on BYC this morning? I tried when I got to work (7:45 EST) and I kept getting an error message so I gave up, but it was working this afternoon.
Well kiss gentleman William goodbye and say hello to "Give me that banana woman!" Willy....you've opened Chiquita's box.:gig

Iv'e been up since five! I can't believe I beat you, took a couple years but it feels good Bob.
Won't happen often but today the first "good morning :frow"was mine and on a Monday too!:yesss::woot:lau

How do chickens know exactly where you have an injury and exactly how hard to bite, peck or stick a toenail in it to have you brew up a slew of profanity?
They're all sadists, swear on poor my Henry bit cuticle they are.
My creepy little man has some serious bite pressure and skewed depth perception.:barnie
Had a cactus get me, all downhill from there.View attachment 1816086
That is why I don't have cactus!

I’m to exhausted to upload pictures but update from the last few days...
Almost had Nunnys Ark. There is so much water out there. The coop is at 95% humidity.
Dealing with a girl with crop issues. Thought it was sour but I think it’s stuck. I’ve flushed it a few times now and got all sorts of nasty, smelly stuff out. Monistat is being given and only water and grit.

In the downpour yesterday I shoveled a trench around the coop. Through the run and all along the front side. Had a raging river for a bit but the water is going away from the coop. So it’s a start.

I’ve had a few snotty noses and sneezes. I’m not sure what that’s all about. The weather an illness some dust up the nose?
But I found one of the Spitz dead this morning. Was alive last night at bed checks...
So today I cleaned out the whole coop. Got the pallets off the dirt in the back and found 2 little mole babies. Got 12 bags of pea gravel down. Didn’t put any shaving back in there. They only have cement floor up front for now. I put 2 little fans out there too. Try and move some air.

Oh my!
I am very sorry about the Spitz. :hugs

I really hope the weather clears up too.
