Myths die hard.It sounds like it worked!
One of the worst things for me to read, over and over again, is someone thinking DE will kill bugs. Poor chickens then have to suffer and many die.
Good morning!Morning Folks![]()

Lol! See sometimes it is perfectly o.k to piss a person off.It sounds like it worked!

Yours will stand for it?! When I go to touch anyone's feet they dance around like I'm trying to steal their feet. I was trying to get some caked on mud from Loki's nails last night and she kept pulling her feet away from me. Maybe they see Klaus' missing toes and think they'll end up the same.. idk.I could and should have clipped his better than I did but my help makes them all nervous.
He's big, loud and talks his hands, chickens arent big fans.
For some reason he thought I needed a holder, nope never have don't know if Negan looked extra wiggly to him or what.
If he'd watched even once in like three years he'd know rooster just stands and gets clipped.![]()
I totally missed the little birds until I clicked on it.A vision test... do you see what's in the picture?

Baby Killdeer! :::squee::: They were so little. I couldn't help myself. I reunited them with Mom and a third sibling.
Yay for real rain for someone who needed/ wanted it. We're supposed to get more today. I got sprinkled on on my way in, but more is coming. It actually rained here. Real rain not just a 10 minute misting.
My plants are happy! My birds not so much lol.
We are 45° with rain right now. I know many of us are sick of rain....really really sick of rain. Living in a semi-arid area this rain is pretty welcome here.
The alley behind us used to be an open canal. After the flood in 1976 (Estes Park dam that broke) it was reworked. Now it is a storm drain overflow channel. Normally it is dry. It IS 5+ feet deep and goes from 3' wide to really wide 12+ I think. It is about 2' deep in water right now. Very unusual for us. In the 20 years I have lived here I have only seen it full once. I would say I have only seen water in it maybe 6 times.
Yup we are DRY here most of the time.
Super jealous of the strawberries. We have a farm here and they have strawberries for $2.25 and cherries for $4.75. We haven't made it out yet, but we usually try to get cherries from them. My kids aren't 'crawl around in the dirt and pick strawberries' age anymore, but they are 'pick some cherries' tall enough now.Well all the spinach is pulled up. Three 13 gallon bags of it.
I do believe I will be spending a good part of the day blanching for freezing.
There are also 5# of strawberries now washed, sorted, cored and frozen. Not from my garden but I couldn't pass on $.88 a pound.
No I won't be eating those. They are for my son's smoothies he has been making.
I was going to pick lettuce and plant beans but it is raining so that will wait for tomorrow.
I did get a handful of peas picked for shelling.
I need to pick the snow peas and get those frozen too.
Bunnies have been partying in my garden. I saw one eating bean leaves this morning and seem to be missing several strawberries from the plants in the ground.
I've been seeing about lime on instagram (I must be following someone.. IDK).. So what does lime do? I remember my mom putting it in her garden, and the insta people advertise putting it in water troughs.. What does it do, besides helping w/ the stink?I put out a bag amd 1/2 of barn lime in part of the poultry yard... smells better
YAYYYYYYY for baby time! I hope everything is going/ went well and you had/have an easy, event free labor.Hi guys. We are on the road to the hospital. Seems like baby decided to come before the induction. I’ll let you know when baby is here.
