The problem with Lyme disease is it can recur, kind of like Malaria. Plus since I live in the woods, I am likely to get bitten by more ticks. He said the other tick borne diseases are treated by the same antibiotics, so no need to test for those. I did read that you may also contract Guillaume Barre syndrome . ? Sp.

If not guineas, God they are obnoxious, put out tick tubes.
Empty toilet paper or paper towel rolls with cotton stuffed in them. You spray the cotton with I believe a permethrin spray and let it dry. Mice will build nests with the cotton and it keeps the mice flea and tick free.
I guess that's the easiest way baby ticks travel. That's when they are hardest to spot too.
