Morning everyone.

It is starting off breezy here. Not howling wind but just a good breeze.

I am hoping to get some yard work done first thing this morning. I think there is time for the strawberry plants in the tower thingy to take root before winter if I get them in the ground very soon. I will be clearing the squash bed since powdery mildew has set in. I guess that is as good a place as any to start.
If that goes well I may replant carrots into the pots......maybe.

I am hoping everyone gets to have a good day.

Good morning folks :frow

I bought this pattern. It is on my to do list. :lau
That list is looooong. :hmm

Rain here... I need to find a source for more local fresh tomatoes. I still have a lot of canning to do before the end of the season.

Lots to do m before I can even think of starting that quilt. :hmm most of my to do list has nothing to do with sewing too. :(

I am giving up on the garden for this year. I grew lots of good stuff but my family decided after I put in all that work they don't like this or that or ANYTHING I FREAKING GREW!
I am pulling most of it out. No sense watering and weeding if no one will eat it.
Yes it kind of made me mad. :(

My son was like that. This year we're growing only the stuff we like and want to can or freeze.

Didn't feel good on grocery shopping day so cancelled . So no groceries.

Yesterday for lunch/supper/whatever I could only make shredded hash brown potatoes thanks to Ore- Ida and I had one empty cake ice cream cone(not a great sugar cone :tongue.. Then I found 6 sugar packets(from restaurants) and had that for dessert.Out of milk and bread too.

Mostly typical for my meals. I either buy too many things that are very perishable and end up eating them one after another. Or I forget to buy anything-no ice cream on sale.

I'm debating whether I should repeat (minus the cone).
Oh wow, I hope you were able to get groceries... Some stores have home delivery nowadays. Of course you have to pay extra for it, but it might be helpful when you have a food emergency & cannot get to the store. You could also order some stuff from amazon for these situations. Those rice & noodle pouches are a nice shelf stable thing to have. I tossed some hamburger in w/ a mexican rice pouch & had that for dinner Saturday night. Butter/ oil is optional & even if it says to add milk you can just add water in it's place & it turns out fine. Even if they're not you're favorite it'd be helpful to know you have some to fall back on. They're usually $1 each around here. I do the same thing w/ fruits & veggies.. buy too much b/c I only shop so often, or I don't get to it in time. Same w/ meat, then I toss it in the freezer & then it takes forever to thaw and I don't get to it. Anyway... It wouldn't be a bad idea to check out some of the pouch things, or canned soup or something that you can toss in the cupboard and know it's there in an emergency.

I ate my supper and minutes later threw up. What the heck? Hope I am not coming down with something.
Oh no! I hope you're feeling better.

Thought I'd share this picture. A friend is selling Color Street nail polish sheets and is always looking for pictures of people using them.
The little baubles in my hand...?

Wow! Those are nice and the bulbs are super cute. I had no idea that 1 bee made so little, but it makes sense since there's so many of them. It seems like a little to me, but I bet it's a lot to them.

They seem good. I'm hard on my hands. With chickening and cleaning and hand washing for both.

July 26th. Day 8 and my thumb nail chipped. You can see they were even starting to grow out at the back.

For me way better then nail polish. I'm lucky if painted nails last 24 hrs. I like that these come in fun designs too without the hassle of having someone custom paint my nails.

If your interested that should link to her site. If there isn't a name let me know. I'll ask for a link.
Those lasted a long time! Those are super cute too. A tip to make nail polish last longer, put a glitter polish over it. They'll last much longer, esp on your toes. I literally have hundreds of bottles of polish (not even exaggerating) and some brands just last longer than others. I have a bottle of no light gel nail polish that lasted 2 weeks and didn't actually chip, but wore away at the end.

I had to hit 4 stores today. :hmm Yes 4.

Needed yard sale sign stuff. Not paying office depot prices. Not paying Wal-Mart prices. King soopers usually has good prices on poster board......not this year. :hmm

Dollar tree! SCORE 62 cents a sheet, foam board a buck each, stencil letters a buck for a pack that has numbers AND letters!!
I even found hubs coveted small spiral bound note pads 3 for a buck!

:woot

It is tatering got out! I think we are at least 95°. :tongue
I usually use a big fat permanent marker for signs. I hate when people use a fine sharpie and think anyone will see it. They have a sharpie magnum that says it's 3/4". Saves a lot of time.

I bought this pattern. It is on my to do list. :lau

That's the thing. There are lists....I ask if there are add ins several times before I go. :hmm
He cannot go. He has the tow truck 24/7 since 2 drivers quit. It is up to me to do 100% of the errands.

I was thinking to do the triangles in pastels and the background in a marbled charcoal color.
I would call it midnight lace.
That will be beautiful! The darker background will make the colors pop more.

Is there a food pantry that you can donate the unwanted stuff to? How disappointing, but hopefully you can freeze and use some of the stuff for yourself. Planting veggies is like buying Halloween candy, only get the stuff that you like, that way if no one stops you'll be happy to eat everything yourself.

I know what you mean about the amount of honey. I was surprised it seemed like so little but it’s not like they are big. Their lifespan is short to us but long for an insect. A few weeks to a few month depending on when they are hatched/born.

I have loads of nail polish too. Oddly enough polish will last forever on my toe nails. My finger nails are a whole other story. A day would be nice. LOL

Same. Toe nails, paint them once and it lasts a month. Finger nails always chip. I have had some where it just peels off the whole nail in a sheet after they got wet.

can cook frozen meat in an instapot
That's on my 'I want' list next spring at tax time. My brother has one and says it's awesome. With how busy we are it'd be nice to toss something in when I get home from work and have it ready when we get home from dance stuff rather than it being done in the middle of the day and turning to mush in a crock pot, or drying out. B/c we make so little since there's only 3 of us (unless I want to eat stuff for 3 days for lunch) things still end up drying out or being over cooked.
