There might be a teeny weeny little smidge of drama....just a speck!
You probably wont even notice.:D

Layer probably is Dip, she's like Kim starting early.

I got corrugated plastic from Home Depot. I managed to get it put in so I can adjust it as needed. If course I didn't take pics. It's ugly but works. It looks like white cardboard so definitely not in the roofing section.
The soffits on my big coop are 14' long. :th

HAHAHAHA!!:lau:lau:lau:gig:gig
I do believe the drama button will be pushed by snow.
I also think Dip is my layer in that coop. I get an egg 5 out of 7 days and there is NO way my aging cochins are making those.
:gigEven in their prime my giant cochins only have me 2 eggs a week each. These eggs are WAY to big to be from the bantams.

The bantam cochins are going out tomorrow, even if the top is not on the run.

So, another update.

We finally got working on the deck. It makes me happy. We have all but the landing outside the single wide door to do. I'll get a picture of the entire deck tomorrow. We currently have a 4'x30ish' extension coming off to the right towards the back door.

I really need to get working on minimizing the number of birds I own for winter. However, 3 weeks ago, we hatched 4 keets out of the nest our guinea hens kept abandoning. We decided to keep them as well as the 5 keets we let hens raise earlier this year. 2 of our 3 free range guineas have been killed. All 3 birds did really well free ranging and going into the barn coop. My parents got lazy and didn't shut them in at night. When nothing happened, they continued to not shut them in. Both attacks happened while my parents were away in Delaware so the predator got bolder. We think it was a coon. The last remaining adult is now in with the main chicken flock. I have plans to catch it and put it in with the half grown keets. We have a small portacoop next to our PVC 4 square. We will use this to train the guineas to the portacoop and we will let them free range next year and shut them in at night.

I took this picture a little while back. We now have our chickens in the field in front of our house. The wild turkey flock routinely wanders past and my roosters kick up a ruckus about it. You can also see one of the guineas further down the lane, past the turkeys. It was interesting to see the 3 flocks in such close proximity. The excavator belongs to a neighbor. He is doing some leveling for us.

Also, I got a picture of all the magnificent fat the Milk drinker has put on. He's such a Hunka-chunk!

Spit my sugar free drink snorting at the "smidge" of drama snow would cause.
No drama is a "smidge" where Dip is concerned. :lau
