So tell me about cornish vs cornish cross. I thought crosses had issues with the fact that they grow so fast. I've heard of them dropping dead before they get to butcher weight. So are heritage cornish better? Do they take a long time to mature?
Give me the dirty details. Someone asked me like I know. LOL

I think @Molpet and @Redhead Rae both have raised heritage cornish.
I have raised neither but my understanding is the crosses grow extremely fast and suffer broken bones, heart attacks and tend to die very young.
I would kill for this to be cheese.
Seriously, iv'e become one with the poop.
Literal assimilation.
Nunny, you know they'd just turn out weird as feck right?
They'd live to be 80 or something.
I'm glad your washer troubles wernt too bad Henny, you needed a break.![]()
Heritage Cornish mature about the same as English orphignton ... have slightly slower than typical heritage growth.. but they are large breasted, wide stance. I have one dark cockerel...So tell me about cornish vs cornish cross. I thought crosses had issues with the fact that they grow so fast.
