She did pass the rock. Freaking horrible as I am always on the watch for rocks in the kennel.
The only way she got it is having dug the tatering thing up.

Hubs took a small rock away from River the other day too.

:th :barnie:he
I had a dog that used to retrieve rocks that I threw in the lake. He never swallowed one that I know of.

Given the effect they have.....I cannot recommend trying one. :hmm

It is believed that most dogs swallowing rocks are playing with it and accidentally swallow it.
it's like w/ babies that you have to have toys that are bigger than your head so you don't eat them.

Only canine I had that ate non food things was a coyote. He would pass pieces of toys and plastic stuff
Cats were the ones who ate marbles and dental floss they were playing with
I had a cat that ate tinsel and it was hanging out her butt. I grabbed it w some tp and it came out. Later I read that you shouldn't do that b/c it can cut them inside, but luckily there was just a little bit left inside her. Never had tinsel again. That stuff was inside a gift bag that someone had given me.

One of THE reasons we do not decorate for holidays!

Nothing quite like shiny poop. :sick

One dog left for mid day feeding. This is a giant pita having only 2 dogs that can eat together.
Even then I have to monitor so Jack doesn't stick his big mug in Sables dish leaving her with nothing.
:he

River is in "I am so tired I am gonna be a turd" mode.

Hubs thinks Tilly will be ok with just one bed mat. It is 2'x4' so :fl.

I need to re-mop the kitchen as EVERYONE was in there. :hmm

By the by Delilah swallowed an entire leg off a heavy duty giant wubba kong. I found it in the yard in a pile of yuck. Yes I picked that particular pile apart to see how much was in there then went looking for that toy.
This could have easily done to her what the rock did to Tilly.
:thx 1,000,000 on that thought.

When I had lots of dogs I fed them in their crates. Worked well.

Unfortunately I don't have enough crates. Jack and Sable eat in the kitchen, River in her playpen or the living room, Delilah in the basement and I guess Tilly will be eating in the kitchen.
I will move Jack and Sable to the living room or down the hall on the OTHER side of the baby gate.

River heads for their food like a freight train out of control. She has no shut off signal. :hmm

I can finally have Delilah upstairs while River is asleep. D is NOT A FAN of having her personal space invaded.

Got the old cat inside with me, she's been inside since the nutty cold moved in at 16 she doesn't get a choice about it lol!
She has eaten every dead leaf she can find and any windowsill bugs, now she's bored and driving me nuts.
Literally older than dirt and bored, there is just no fix for that.
Im going to catnip her and hope for the best.:)

Henny, I'm glad Tilly is coming home. She get way better care from you and yes she's still in our thoughts and prayers. :hugs:hugs:fl:fl

Mo, I hated it when the cats would eat stringy stuff. :rant:sick
@21hens-incharge I'm so glad Tilly is doing well enough to come home!

I had a cat that loved strings. One day, he got an extra crazy case of the zoomies. It was like something was chasing and trying to kill him, frantic zoomies. I catch him and he as a piece of string coming out of his butt with a turd ball attached to the end of the string 6 inches from his butthole. I clipped it off as close to his butt as I could.

The first dog we ever had as a family was a hound mix of some sort. A guy my dad worked with found a box of them in the snow in a Handy Andy parking lot. (Some of the puppies had already frozen. People can be awful) Anyway... he brings this little ball of brown fuzz to work and tells my dad he now has a dog. LOL She was nutty! That dog ate stuff like you wouldn't believe. Troll dolls were armless. Underware were crotchless. She used to help herself to Hershey Kisses out of the chick feeder. (My mom was a county decor fan for years and used actual chick feeders, new, as candy dishes)

The two most memorable inedible items where coins... which she threw up after months of them being in her stomach. They acid had eaten holes clean through them. And a disposable razor! We only knew about that when my dad found the blades in the back yard. How that dog survived all her misadventures I'll never know.
