Hi Folks,

I've been pretty busy. I was sick as a dog from Saturday night through Monday with mastitis + something else. We had plans for my SIL to come over for early Christmas since she will be spending actual Christmas with friends in Atlanta. I got some shopping and cleaning done Saturday morning. DH and I spent a couple hours cutting and peeling a boat load of apples for apple crisp. That was when I started aching all over. I only ate half my dinner (which should have been a clue that I was sick) and we prepped to set up the Christmas tree Saturday night so it was there Sunday. By the time my mom came over to spend time with the boys while we put up the tree, I was miserable and ached all over. We got the tree up and only put lights and child safe ornaments on it. At that point I took a bath to try to help, but i couldn't get the water hot enough. It would get just warm enough to feel good and then it would cool quickly and chill me. I eventually gave up when I started shivering violently. I got out of the tub and took a shower almost completely on hot to stop the shivers. After that I took my temp and it was 102.2. We were supposed to do baby dedication with the Milk Drinker Sunday morning but I still had a fever and I didn't sleep well at all because I hurt so much. We managed to get the Turkey in the oven and DH was able to babysit it while it cooked. My mom was kind enough to come over and help with the rest of the cooking that I couldn't do because I could barely stand. Despite being sick, I still had fun. My fever broke overnight and I slept pretty well, but was still tired when the Milk Drinker woke me at 6:30am. I handed him off to DH and went back to bed intending to get another hour or so. I slept until 11am! I can't remember the last time I did that. Thank goodness I'm pretty much recovered now.

In other news, the Milk Drinker is now crawling. Heaven help us we have two mobile boys.

I made a new leash for Tilly. Don't worry I used heavy duty upholstery thread and extra stitching.

I made it 8' long with 2 hand hold places. I put one 3' approx from the clip. That should make it easier to control her without tripping all over her.

If the sun ever comes out I will run her in the big side of the yard then once she is kind of tuckered out I will try to walk her.
Hubs tried yesterday and it did not go well. Not well at all. :(

That is the hard part with getting puppies in winter. That early leash work is hard to achieve. Now she has had about 2 months of forgetting everything she did know.
