:lau No ding dong! I can only imagine how many pushes it would take to run the batteries out....or your patience.

 Some mornings birds just gotta curse the day to smithereens.

New pics of a couple babies.

The lightest female.

My hubs does not like the name Webster. He wants to call him Oscar.
As in Oscar Meyer wiener? :wee :lau

I'll come back later and catch up w/ the last 7 pages.. kids needs the laptop for dance class.

Good morning Apryl, have a great day.

I suspect the person lives in a condo in the DC area, his neighbors complained that he was in the back yard. If it's like most, it's about 8' wide and fenced with a privacy fence.
Wow, you'd think that if it's fenced in they'd calm down a bit. If they're worried that the neighbor being outside would get germs on them, then you'd think the front door/ windows would be equally unsafe.

Apyryl29 thank you for missing me. I have still have my goal of wanting to be invisible but, when you don't see me here I'm probably napping. It's what I do best. Best way to shelter in place when my ice cream runs out.
Glad you're doing well. Got worried when I hadn't seen you pop in for a while.

Alright got a few photos of the little buggers when I pulled them out to clean the brooder.

Question for those who have ordered from Cackle before: do they normally send extras? Breeds are correct but I got 20 birds instead of 17 (NOT a complaint. Just a surprise).

Roundest of birbs . These ameraucanas are hatchery choice of colors. They sell white, lavender, blue, black, and splash. Any guesses on what I got?

Barred bantam Cochins. The middle one is struggling a bit but I think she is a fighter.

Hope you all enjoyed the bonus glimpses of my desk toys :gig

What a bunch of cute fluffybutts! Secretly jealous, but def don't need any babies to deal with.

Good late afternoon!
Guess who gets to keep their hubs at home after Thursday for an indefinite amount of time?
That person is going to be looney in three or four days tops!
Hopefully some miracle time waster comes along to help that poor soul.
Good luck! Hope you all make it out alive.

I'm alive! I've still been working. One account is closed. The dentist is emergency only. Most others are work from home as much as possible but still open.
I lost 3 more girls. My swedish flower that was having crop issues. She seemed to be doing better then suddenly went downhill and died. Found another on the floor one morning. And a Spitz didn't seem to be feeling well when the weather went from 60 to 30 and she died. No idea what happened.
I redid their run area and they are all happy. Drinking from dirty mud puddles and making a mess scratching in muck. I have been trying to spread wood chips but the weather is so back and forth it's hard to find a good day. With the rain I just got in the last 2 days the coop is flooded. Actual water on the floor. Cleaned it out and got more rain... I need gutters, a covered run and a trench at this point. They certainly don't seem to mind but I hate it. I feel so bad at how gross it gets instantly.
Happy to hear you're doing well. Sorry about your birds. Did you ever get that new coop put up? I use tarps to deflect rain. I'd loooovveeee to get a gutter put up, but I never got around to it. Run off from the roof is probably most of the water you're getting. Hopefully we get some dry weather here long enough to make it better for your birds.

I am really sorry about both the random losses and the sog.

Just got back from vehicle recovery!!! Hubs truck was found and is back in his hands. Minor damage to the truck and it is a disgusting piggy mess.
He is at the car wash cleaning all the diesel off it....yes diesel spilked all over inside and outside the bed. The cab is extra gross! That will be cleaned as soon as he gets home.
Yay!!! So happy you got it back & it's not too bad condition. Make sure you clean it out really well. Not sure about the drug situation out there, but around here they were saying fentynol was being found in stolen vehicles & that stuff is so deadly.

It has been very thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. It would be pretty bad to get pulled over and the cops find drugs from the thieves.

Yes, I found out, that three hens from next farm over, like my hens digs better than their own. But it's not time to let my birds free range yet.:hit
Update: two of the three hens from the neighbors farm, are Beautiful EE's, the other one is some kind of wildfowl mix. I want to keep them, but I'm no chicken thief. I will just let them scratch with my flock. They are not trained like mine are. NOPE, they cannot sleep in my coop tonight!!!

How do you like the Swedish Flowers?
I love them. I describe them as the cat of the chicken world. Friendly and curious but just as happy to be independent. They are great free rangers but take confinement well. Their range of colors and patterns never ceases to amaze me. They have such personality.

Ok, so now I want some! I love Speckled chickens.
My Incubator came today! And I assembled it.
