I had to stop half way through eating dinner to lay down and eat some Doritos before I could finish dinner.

This is why I like going to doctors connected to the WVU system. All your records are available once you give the dr permission to view the records. It’s too bad more places don’t have affiliated practitioner networks like this.

In my opinion that is the goal of the drug companies. Create as many paying customers as possible.

Meat sauce yes pasta no.....unless it is a tiny sad sized serving.

I didn't get the meter until 10 am today. But I will check and report in the morning... after I get the birds out and before breakfast.

Sucks to not be able to eat what we want. Fried yellow crook-neck squash is great with meat sauce over it. Fry it in bacon grease, top with the tomato meat sauce with onions, bacon bits on top with Trader Joe's fresh mozzarella cheese. :drool Must have rice with this, too!

I may make crookneck and onions and call it good enough. No rice for me. It hits just as bad as pasta.
Everyone else here may need to just fend for themselves tonight. There are leftovers......OOOOHHHHH there are hot wings too! :drool

Yellow squash fried with bacon & onions are almost as good without meat. Sausage fried with them, especially the hot Louisiana style, cajun flavored sausage. Must have the rice around here, not that bad of a problem that I can not have the brown rice. I try to get the guy to like the brown rice, he is a white food guy, though. As long as I have meat and fats with the high index stuff, I am OK. No problem with rice, too much wheat gives my asthma trouble as I keep getting older, it keeps getting worse! A couple of slices of bread at lunch is fine, as long as it is not every day, every meal.

I loooove spicy foods. I am making hot green chili this weekend and chicken chimichangas but will have my chimmy filling baked in a green pepper. There are far more foods that are a big no for me.....unless I really want to suffer.
I miss hot spanish rice baked in a zucchini and topped with cheese.

Today all I have had has been coffee with almond milk, a hot link, one cup of popcorn with butter and 1/2 cup of cottage cheese.
Yesterday I ate a sandwich....drove me from 90 to 211. The bread was 26 grams carbs total, lunchmeat was 5 grams. Mayo and lettuce are carb free....well that one lettuce leaf has to few to count. So 31 grams of carbs in one sitting drives me up 121 points. :(
Hubs can have 60+ grams in one sitting and be fine.

I do not have to test, I get shaky with low blood sugar and just try to control eating what does that. Too much bread/sugar and I get shaky later -- when the sugar crashes after the high. More meat & veggies is how I cope. You need to be extra careful with such high sugars. :hugs
