It can be a slow death, I found a hawk one day standing on my rooster and ripping hunkf of muscle off while the rooster screamed. I scared off the hawk but the rooster died from shock I think. The hawk broke a window to get at the rooster. So now I put wire over all windows.
So sorry you found that.

I scared the hawk before it got to eating.

The hawk that tried to get my Delaware had her on the ground not dead. She was lucky I was very close by and could intervene.

I think the fast death is only if the hawk gets lucky and has a straight clear shot....which seems rare. I have seen to many nature shows where a bird if prey is carrying off a struggling victim.

Your broodies would hate them, they don't ever go away there is no out of sight.
They make up for lack of aggression with obsessive herding.
I like it very much, hens are probably over it though.
I'm over it quickly when hubs goes turbo derp but nothing is out to eat me that I know of.
If the chicks or hens stay in sight of the turkeys or roos, they will run over . But when they sneak out the far end of the poultry yard out of sight, no one can see what is going on. With 7 broodies with chicks they tend to spread out

Ok, i'm not ungrateful not in the least and when folks put a little thank you in something I buy it is a nice gesture.
Today I got a weird one though, one single multivitamin teabag.
This was an amazon seller I bought some gummy planets from.
Im putting together a space themed birthday basket for the neighbor kid.
Poor little guy isn't getting a normal birthday due to the covid and his moron father being on house arrest.
Anyways he's a big time space boy right now so edible planets are great.
Got him some little astronauts you launch with a rubber band type deal, a glow in the dark solar system blanket and some alien pajamas.
Such a good kid, hopefully I make his day a little happier.
Me being me, I ate one of the planets but it was smooshed so I actually just improved the visual aesthetics of the gift lol!
Im torn over that teabag though, im not wasteful but im cautious of it for sure.

This is not a weed! I have to buy this plant if I want it. And I've bought loads of them only to have them die over winter.
Finally got one last year that survived and bloomed this year.

They don't all bear fruit. There are over 550 varieties of Passiflora.

Brave and crazy are very different animals.
Im not brave, and not remotely crazy enough to tangle with a mystery teabag either.
I always knew I had a limit somewhere! :lau
