For 2 reasons really....
They are sex linked so no boys.
They are said to be high production docile birds.
Time will surely tell........and......because blue. :p

I didn't zip the brooder last night, woke up to Jerry perched on the edge staring at me.
Iv'e got a feeling he's going to be as weird as he looks and im going to have to keep him lol.

Hello everyone.

We had to move some muddy chickens this morning and that wore this pregnant lady out. Then of course, we were out of my gluten free bread so I took Thing 1 to Walmart with me. That really wore me out. Thing 1 was fine. The trip would have worn me out anyway.

Please don't use poison. You can kill your chickens if the chickens eat the mice and you WILL kill the wild life that comes to eat the dead mice. Once the mice start stinking, all sorts of critters will find them, eat them, and die.

I finally found my precious yellow scoops at one of the feed stores we stopped at. :wee

Actually the only things that I wouldn't mind dieing from poisoning would be stray cats and my poultry. .... Especially the rotten hawks

Good morning! Or actually, good afternoon. I’m so tired. Every day this week was an 11-12 hr day! I fell asleep on the couch until 1:30 and of course waking up to go to bed only woke me up. Then at 2 I went shopping online. At least I kept it to the local bakery and meat market, this time. :gig I did christmas shopping at 12 am one year and ended up buying what I now call the drunk squirrel shirts. They were from Planet Money, but I couldn’t tell what the design was until they got here. one sent him home, lol! It’s a cute design, a squirrel holding a martini glass with an acorn on a toothpick. Finally managed to get all the wood for my enclosed run! Still have to clean the rabbits and coop, that might wait a bit longer :(. Ugh, just remembered I also need to build three more cages. My rabbits are in bird cages and my quail are in an indoor rabbit cage!i’ve always been a bit backward:lau
