So Takoda my husky got into my quail eggs and eat some of them before I noticed!!!!:mad::mad::he:he
I'm down 10 and picked up two out of the floor. So much for thinking the table was ok to let them rest the night while the incubator was settling in.

I'm so mad right now.
Sorry, that's a pain. But animals love eggs almost as much as they love chicken.

Good morning/not morning,

Thing 1 woke me at 5:45 because he wanted to be covered back up. Thing 2 woke up as soon as I got settled back in bed. Hoping to get back to sleep.

The hurricane leftovers were a whole lot of nothing. It drizzled a bit throughout the day but we got a good bit of sun. We had a nasty thunderstorm on Thursday that caused some flooding but it didn’t get to my chickens.

Good morning folks :frow

:frow Good morning Rae, have a great day... Maybe sneak in a nap later.

Tractor supply seems to think $1 off feed is a great deal.

Well....a buck is a buck I guess. Sales on what I use tend to be 3-5 dollars off. Gotta watch those dates always.

I haven’t tried this yet, but a friend suggested to fill a 5 gal bucket about 2/3 full with water and put sunflower seeds in it, just enough to float on top, and add a ramp. This way they go to get the seeds and fall in and drown. This was for chipmunks, but I don’t see why it couldn’t work for mice. Rats? Probably not seeing as they can swim pretty well.

I used a bucket trap for mice with some success. After the first few days the others got wise.

I am sorry Takoda had THAT for a snack. Poor guy is still a baby really. Don't be to hard on him. He didn't know.:hugs

Good morning Henny :frow have a great Sunday
Temps in the 50s would be lovely, we are still in the 70s right now :( with the chance of more rain

Thanks Sue. You have a wonderful day too. The dry here.....it turns everything brown. We struggle to have a garden, flowers and lawn. I know it is a fine line between not enough and to much.....but I like green more than brown. Try not to float away in the sog.

:frow Good morning Henny, have a great day

You too Bob. Lots to do which is WAY better than nothing. Winter will be here before we know it. I am beginning winter prep.
Make sure to look for rainbows. :D
