Any suggestions on a new microwave?
I put a corning ware microwave glass pot in the microwave. Started the microwave. Flash and a poof ...microwave went dead smelling inside of burning plastic. Nothing obviously burnt without taking it apart. It's from 1995... so doubtful if parts would be available.. Outlet works.

Holy crap Mo! I would of had to change shorts!

Probably not much help from me cause mine is 10+ years old but it works SOOOOO much better than those low wattage ones. Mine is a Kenmore model # 721.66339800

I had a whopper of a big Amana Radar Range microwave. Lasted a Long time! Lots of chrome on it.

Here, they would like bigger ones but since small ones are cheaper they often opt for them. I used to sell all the guineas I could hatch.
I could probably sell them now since they are off heat, but I think I'll keep them in case we can't capture our free ranging guineas this winter. I want to coop train them so we can make sure they won't get eaten over the winter. I also want to pair a hen and a cock off with the new blood I have. I'm having at least 4 breeding pairs in pens.

Oh I also have a few chicks I think I need to cull. My last hatch was.... over a month ago. I have three chicks that are probably 6-8 weeks old but are the size of 2 week olds, but more feathered out (but not completely).

The eggs my Cochin hens were sitting on are hatching one or 2 a day. There are 20+ eggs left. This could take a long time.

Yeah they don't make that one anymore, but still have parts

Are they staying on the nest? Most broodies I've had leave the nest at 24-36 hours after the first chick. I have one NH/Cochin cross chick in with my flock because it was externally pipped when mama left the nest. I put her in the incubator and let her hatch. Her name is Lefty because she was a leftover.

I figured they had obsoleted it. We bought a kenmore microwave at K-Mart neither of which exist anymore.......kinda makes me feel oooooold. :lau

I miss having a variety of stores to choose from. Now it is pretty much the W mart, Target or Kohls for a department type store.

I mainly shopped at k Mart, I miss them. I inherited this one from a cousin. Sure was a good one. 1200 watts. I used it most days for 20 yrs, and she used it a lot too

When shopping for a new one DEFINITELY look for a high wattage since you are already used to that. The sad low wattage would frustrate the tar outta me.

Do you have a Best Buy there?
