I totally understand about the lights, when all our lights worked - it was so bright 😬 now I don't like going around the back because it's just way too dark. That would be scary seeing all those predators.

It keeps me on my toes and keeps me securing coops at night for sure.
We got solar powered flood lights. They actually work REALLY well. I have one set up in the dog kennel (it is a BIG kennel) so I can keep an eye on them in the night. After my rock eaters and the puking it caused I need to know if someone is asking for out to go puke.
The owl was actually pretty cool to see. He/she had nailed a mouse. A neighbor told me one took their lop ear bunny in the middle of the day.
It is crazy how many predators we have in the middle of town.

Another overcast uggo one out there, it needs to clear out so the run can dry out because nothing smells better than a wet chicken run.
Got the kids fed big and little,kind of feel bad because I sneak away on the littles but they'll mud me from head to toe if I hang around too long.
I will go back after I get woke up better, get a tea or two in me so im more with it.
I did finally get my tea and im thrilled about actually tasting it. :)


Isn't it though?
I don't think id be putting my hands anywhere near one like that guy is knowing how strong birds are.

Thing 1 RARELY naps anymore. I don't think I'll get a nap today, I might be able to after DH leaves for work and my mom takes the boys, but that might not be until LATE. The vet is supposed to arrive at 2pm and put the one horse down right away, then he is supposed to float the teeth of the other two horses (AKA file them down so they can chew properly) and possibly do a minor surgery on one eyelid of one of the other horses. So, she may not be getting them until 5..... I don't know. We'll have to wait and see. But I can't see taking a nap unless I can get started before 4pm.

We have "dinner" set up for noon since my sister is here, so I need to get ready for that too.

I remember all the predators I would see in Virginia and we didn't have chickens to worry about 😲.

Everyone is none the worse for wear this morning.
The kids even got the pop door opened. It is not windy and cold right now so that's nice.

Lots of chores as usual......and a case of the "I don't wanna".

Well I best just get to it.
