I scored some leaves for the pens this morning.

My neighbor across the street has big trees....and shrubs that keep the leaves from blowing down the road. She is cleaning up leaves today. Super nice of her to be willing to bag them for me to have.

The ducks are happy, the chickens are happy and the neighbor got the leaves removed without having to haul them off.
Win, win, win!

While I have trees most of my leaves...well...left in the wind.

Well, the stinkin' horse couldn't even make dying easy.

My parents dug a hole at a relatively flat area off an access road and they took him up near that to give him the shot. They had him on the far side of the hole since it will be easier for my parents tractor to pull him into the hole rather than push him. Well, instead of neatly stumbling into the hole, he stumbled backwards and tried rolling down the hill. Fortunately They thought to tie ratchet straps on him beforehand and they have him tied to keep him from rolling.

There is a great FB page Dalarna Farm. She has a blog too. Lloyd the turkey has never figured out how to turkey... his favorite mate is a basketball. She also has wild guineas that manage to not only survive but reproduce despite her best efforts to be rid of them.

Well, they got him in the hole and covered up.

They also got the other horses' teeth floated (filed) and the one's eye problems fixed. My mom is now in my living room with the boys watching a movie with them until their bedtime so I can work. She doesn't have the energy to take them today. I completely understand. I wouldn't have asked if I didn't need her help.

My condolences. That wasn't easy on your mom or sister I’m sure. I couldn’t imagine.
