Our credit union is the best place around here for a car loan. He should have a pretty good down payment from the insurance, right?
He is going through the credit union. That "no credit" interest rate is crazy! With co-signer it is under 3%. He is weighing his options at this point.
Everything is so fluid right now. He has to wait for word from the insurance to find out what the compensation will be.
He definitely has options when it comes to how to pay for the new car. He has been lucky enough....maybe tolerant enough is a better wording....that he shares the house with us so most of his pay goes to his account. He pays us a fair rent and enjoys the freedoms most renters don't while not having the full costs of home ownership. It works pretty well for us all.
He really liked his car so settling is not going to come easy.
