With all the rain we've had lately, we've had a bumper crop of frogs, especially toads. I was late in feeding the outdoor cat the other night, about 3 minutes after I put the food in her dish, there were a dozen good sized toads eating the cat food. Sheesh!

I found one of my experiments I'd forgotten about, basically a sore throat spray made with whiskey, honey and clove.
It works and is actually really pleasant.
I didn't have a sore throat but my healthy throat is feeling no pain.

Humidity returns

Good morning!
I'm finally starting to get that rain that was supposed to be coming.
The clouds have everything still sort of dark so a bunch of the chickens are still snoozing, didn't even budge when I opened the door.
I can't blame them it is a nice temperature and a good morning for sleeping in.

Sitting at 70° right now and expected to be 95 today.

At least our humidity shouldn't be high.
Lots to do of course. If all goes well I will make that strawberry jam. One batch of plum jam didn't set as well as I hoped. I may cook it down more. The nice thing with plum jam is no added pectin is involved so a recook won't mess that up.
