Good morning folks :frow Cold and raining here looks like we'll get into the 30's next week. Fall needs to hang around for another couple months.

Good morning all, 43f this morning. That will be the high the rest of the week, but no rain.

I let a buddy bow hunt, he got a good size doe last night. I prefer he takes does, because there's a deer problem around here. The forest preserves within 10miles hirer sharpshooters to thin them out.
Buddy retired to southern Illinois. His property backs up to the Shawnee forest. Since covid the deer have disappeared in his pasture. So he has to come back here to get a deer. :barnie

Woke to having already seen our high of 42. It's drizzling a very cold drizzle.

Hubs helped get the plastic up on the runs yesterday. The birds are not minding the cooler temps at all. Even with all the molting going on I am still getting between 4 and 8 eggs a day.

It got to 53 today but damp and windy. Going down below freezing tonight. Hasn't even frosted yet, my tomatoes have blooms lol 😂 usually have frost September 21
