Good morning all
60 this morning, rain coming and temperature drops, sprinkled last night
Another big male raccoon 59
Harvested a tom yesterday and one this morning. I have one locked up and I'm hoping I have enough ump to harvest him before the weather changes in a couple hours. I'm just skinning and taking legs, breasts, less than 6 lbs.

I weighed yesterday before processing and he was only 15lbs .... 15 months. I was hoping he would dress out at that, if I had plucked and gutted. Very disappointed.

So many coons! I hope they are leaving the birds alone.

What breed are the turkeys? I also think he was small for 15 months old. :hugs

I started trapping them last year because I kept missing poults.... Neighbors feed the wildlife and when they go on vacation the hungry hoard visit.
Calico turkeys, they seem smaller than the red bronze I have. All the hens I sold this year were calico. Still have 7 calico hens and 6 that are either red bronze or semi nari. Main Calico tom had to be put down due to injury. I have 1 calico and 2 red bronze toms, 2 jakes left. Will whittle those boys number down

I like the colors they are. It's a shame they are so small....for a turkey.

Hi Fishy. :frow

Busy day today?
Quite the opposite. Yoga was cancelled, work was super slow and no amount of anything is getting the darned goop off my subfloor. I am so tempted to just go ahead and paint the kilz on and leave it at that. I just dont know if thats a good idea or not. Ive tried mineral spirits, dawn dish soap and a ph balanced wood floor cleaner along with a scrub brush and a rough sponge. Hot water of course.

Goo on the floor sounds like to much work. What will be the final flooring? Carpet? Tile? Laminate?
Was the goo from the old tiles?
That final choice may help determine just how much goo needs to be cleaned off.

My day was ok. I had a doctor appointment so took the day off. I bought fabric for a quilt I want to make and didn't do much else.

Vinyl planks, LifeProof type. The dog was peeing in the same spot so often, we had to pull up the carpet and out down peel and stick tiles. Budget was non existent at the time, so we didnt have much choice.
I would love to quilt! I have bought fabric and even cut the pieces, but thats where it ended 🤣. Using the sewing machine was not working because the pieces are too small for me to run through. Hand sewing I can do but with my constant furry companions, Id rather not.

So a "floating" floor. There is a foam that I used under the laminate in the basement. I think yours will call for it as well. That would help with not finding it's lumpy feeling.

How bad is the goo?
Is it thick?
Have you tried goof off or goo gone?

Not thick really, but very sticky and patchy. I dont have goo gone, but am wondering about just plain oil, lol 😂
