Good afternoon. Just got power back on. The electric company sent the tree trimmers in, bright and early, to trim the trees on our two adjoining driveways. They accidentally cut the power line, so we were all without power. The electric company promised to have it back up by 1:00 pm at the latest. They got it back on just before noon. YAY!

In the meantime, the pool guy came to put in the new filter. The timing was perfect. He had just finished up when the power came back on, so he was able to test it.
Well I would feel blessed that while no power sucks it was fixed just in time.

Hi everybody :frow

Interesting interview. Well, the interview Q&a was pretty normal but the questionnaire - 😱
Is it ever okay to steal? Is it okay to drink alcohol/do drugs as long as its just on lunch or before your shift, etc. sheesh! I know. I get it. But, sheesh! Does anyone ever say Yes ? 🤣🤣
I bet some people do. 😂
When will you know?

They said middle of next week.
Sadly Im all too aware of people thinking thats okay. A teacher did that once and ran her car into several others in an elementary school parking lot. This is where I disagree with the union. Shes still with the schools. So are many others. I do feel a bit bad about feeling like that but these are children they're working with, not just “any old job”. Im tired and not coming across they way I am meaning to. Sorry!

You're coming across just fine. There are jobs that naturally require better character, and decision making from their employees, whether the employers demand it, and employ stricter standards, or not. Those employed by schools, is one such job. Being a "super star/role model" is another area that naturally requires better character, and decision making. The standards used to be pretty high, strict, and enforced. Some employers offering these type jobs even demanded a morals clause be adhered to by their employees.

Over time, those standards have become lax. Background checks were not properly run. Former employers became hesitant about disclosing immoral conduct to new employers. Morals clauses were not enforced, and/or eventually done away with entirely. It didn't happen all at once, so there was a stark contrast. It happened gradually, over time.

As a result, far too many schools are employing perverts, druggies, alcoholics, etc. Thus the type of ludicrous questionnaire that Fishy was given to answer. Thus Miley Cyrus twerking for our kids, indecently attired, and teaching them how to twerk, claiming this is what everyone should be doing. Thus criminal athletes, that kids look up to as role models, are showing them that it's ok to be criminals, if they're rich, and famous.

Immorality, a lack of character, and ethics don't have to be taught, or exploited. They find a way. Morals, ethics, and good character need to be taught, and enforced. They're harder to accomplish. It's easier to go down, than to climb up.

Morning all!

Happy Friday!
