Hi everybody
Im so glad its spring break!
One of the cats broke a bone spur. Im thinking thats a good thing, except for the pain of course. But apparently she is bow legged, has congenital arthritis, and several very large bone spurs. Poor kitty!! She started limping Wednesday morning and was still limping by that afternoon, and despite getting griped at, i scheduled her a vet appt anyway. So glad i did. She now has some meds to help with the pain. There isn't anything they can do with the spurs because she could lose both of her front legs if they do. Shes still limping but getting around “just fine”. She sleeps a lot right now. I dont blame her.
Day 4 of job two. We were supposed to redo the outdoor corral, but the weather isnt cooperating. Cant say i really mind

Hi everyone! My knee is feeling a lot better. The orthopedic dr said it is most likely a bad sprain that should heal on its own with a little bit of PT. I just have to be careful standing up, on stairs, and uneven ground. My insurance is freaking ridiculous. The orthopedic dr prescribed a hinged brace for my knee, the fitted it and went to look over insurance costs, and, because I hadn’t met my deductible yet, it would have been $800. Self pay would have been $250-$300, but I didn’t have that option because of my insurance. The brace lady gave me the tip to order a specific brace off Amazon… for $72. it should arrive tomorrow.

We didn’t go to church today because DH is sick to his stomach ( he ended up puking) and I don’t feel safe driving and wrangling boys by myself with my knee the way it is.

So glad its just a sprain Insurance is crazy. I just found out that regular eye exams arent covered by mine . I have blood work i need to get but am afraid to because of the high cost last time. Around $800, i think. For bloodwork?! The deductible is what they keep reminding me of as well. I dont go to the doctor unless i need to. Why get punished for that?

Glad it's just a sprain and the brace lady told you about the cheaper one.
I got a knee brace at Aldi and it works well.

Glad it's just a sprain Rae... Also glad the lady tipped you for Amazon. It's amazing how quickly they hit you with that deductible and the differences in price. I also discovered a couple weeks ago that they have limits on certain meds, that they don't tell you about. The pharmacist had to split one of Sue's last refill, because insurance would only pay for 15. Now I pay full price for that one going forward. Thankfully, it's not too bad.

Have you tried things like Good Rx?

Good morning all up to 34f now

I ordered 7 bunches of onion plants to be delivered April 4th.... they showed up today. I usually put down a 4ftx25ft paper and cut holes for each plant before they arrive. Not up to doing that before it rains, so I'm just going to plant and put down straw for the weeds. They say I have 2wks to plant at least 350 plants before they get stressed. Took me a week last year with the bed prepared. Shame the weather isn't going to cooperate, next 10 days have lots of rain. Good thing I got poultry feed last week.

I goofed big time. I forgot to put the flaps down before the snow and the radishes had started sprouting. I dont know if theyll be okay. I have sprouted peas waiting to go in but am afraid to plant until maybe wednesday. I did try to put it down afterward but it was frozen.
Thats good your pharmacy is giving you a good price Bob.

Good morning all, 30 right now going up to 40. rain later today.

Got 5 of the pack of onion planted yesterday. Maybe I can get the other 2 today before the rain

Caught great great grandpa, no tail, thin fur and swollen legs. Poor thing looked like he had cataracts but he had been eating well, weights a ton. I'm going to weigh him later.
