Morning all
Cloudy 40f showers today

Owl is back, got a turkey hen. So I should have 18 hens. Which is about 10 too many.
Neck was half eaten in one spot, judging by feathers. Then it was dragged about 50 ft and part of the breast and guts were eaten. I'm thinking opossum. ... maybe raccoon. Although there's a stray cat.....
A leg quarter was salvageable. Wasn't in rigor but cool carcass. Saving carcass for bait for ground predators... Maybe that will get them in the box traps.

I mowed where the dog goes 2x and the floodplain once. Been showers but over 3 days less than half an inch.
South of me dust from the dry farm field caused a big pile up on I 55, might have seen on the news.

Going up to 60s today.
I put some raccoon bait on top of the marshmallow in the DP traps. It looks like corn and cat food to me lol. It came with some dp traps. 3 pairs of DP traps, 2 pairs had one that something had eaten the new bait, except for a couple pieces of corn. Marshmallows not touched. Ummm maybe the stray cat, who I don't want to catch.
