Baytril will treat the symptoms of some of these diseases, but it doesn't mean they're cured. Unless yours happened to have either aspergillosis, which is a fungus and can't be treated with Baytril, or infectious bronchitis, which is a virus and also can't be treated, they are still carriers of whatever disease they had. Even with infectious bronchitis they are still carriers for up to a year after the symptoms stop.

Also, Baytril is forbidden for use in food-producing poultry per the FDA. I'm not saying don't use it if that's what you feel you need to do, but I wanted to put that information out there for the OP.

Thanks! Ours are just pets and we don’t use them for anything else, so it works for us. It was amazing to see them basically come back to life after we treated them :)

Yes, Baytril can have some amazing results! You may want to keep some on hand just in case of future symptom flare-ups. It can be bought online from stores that sell it for use in cage birds like parrots.

Great idea!! We definitely will get some to have on hand. Thank you!

Thank you all for the advice and sucess stories . Hopefully these two make it but we will see. The two other girls are from a friend so I know they are healthy at least. I don't regret getting them out of there even if it's only for a week if they can't be saved. At least they'll be in a well ventilated area with treats fresh water and fun things to find in the aspen. (Because I'm a sucker)
