Speckled Sussex

will someone please help me sex these babies... the one on the right has a curved tail and white comb and is smaller. The one with the tail pointing up which I though meant hen has a redder comb and is crazy..

The bird in the bottom photo is a cockerel.
See how he’s getting the red/brown hackle feathers on his neck?
Females don’t have that.
The top photo looks like a female.

You didn't say how old they are but they both look like females to me. A male should be much more obvious at the age they look to be.

They are 3 or 4 months old.

A 3 month old Speckled Sussex rooster is VERY obvious. Both of yours are female.

I got a mixed flock of chicks who are now 2 1/2 weeks old and my Speckled Sussex is by far my most nervous. She runs and screams any time I put my hand near her. I call her the roadrunner. I thought she’d warm up to me by now, especially since my Barred Rock, Black Australorp and Easter Egger perch on my hand any chance they get. Any way to break her out of this?

I bought them but I haven't tried them yet. I guess I will tomorrow. Thanks for the tip. She's starting to peck at my hand for food so it's a start.

That sounds about right. Medium to light brown and tend to be on the smaller side at least mine.

Mine tend more toward the light brown side and medium sized.
