What breeds do you have? I know my family always ask"how do you tell the difference?" But, come on, we kind of know how. There's 1 maybe even two or three or more differences that nobody else can find but you

I can tell all mine apart easy! Some of my family members are always getting it wrong. Just for fun I quiz them! I point to one and say "Do you know who this one is?"

Sounds good! I'm glad you'll be getting back into poultry! What breeds do you want to get? BTW, my chickens are all safe and locked up for the night. I've never forgotten to lock them in, have you?

That’s one of my biggest fears. I lost two of my favorite girls to what I think was a coon. Snowflake my araucana and Giant my black copper Marans. Think about them every day

Good morning everyone! Did you know that chickens can see all the colors humans can, plus ultraviolet and infrared! I have always liked that fact! Do have any facts you want to share?

So how is everyone in their chicken world? Me and my girls are doing pretty good. This is a picture from the summer.

From left to right it's: Dazzle, CreamPuff, Melody, Kiwi, Marshy, then Blamo.

Anyone have pictures of their flock from the summer??

Okay, I was gone for a few days but now I'm back! I'm loving this new big update, how about everybody else?

I used to forget every once in a while, but that hasn't happened in a while now. I think it's terrible when you are on vacation or something and you wake up in the morning far away from the coop. I feel like I NEED to take care of my chickies, even though I know they are all safe with plenty of food and water in their coop. It makes me feel depressed and sort of sick and sometimes it gives me anxiety. Does anybody else experience this?

They are great! Well, almost great. It's pretty bad weather today so they aren't the happiest about that. Nothing I can do though. What about you @SoftSilkie?

My flock is good. A couple of times I've had to keep them locked in the coop cause the silkies will get soaked. They don't have waterproof feathers, but will just stand out there in the cold. At night I have to blow dry them so they don't freeze. Stinkers...

I do the same thing! But sometimes I do it to help train my siblings for 4H.

I don't have any good pics because they will not hold still!!! Beautiful chickens! And your profile picture is so cool! I like how it's a golden egg and not a normal colored egg.
