Thanks Irene. I add goats milk to all my batches that I dont mind being a cream color. but i have to resort to the canned stuff. '
Just want to say we have been blessed with a very mild winter. It has really seemed like Spring for months. Tonite it will get in the thirtys but will warm back up the rest of the week. Makes things nice for Chickens.

Bama you replied 9 hrs ago.. and the forum didn't notify me like it is suppose to.. I am really not liking this new system.....<shaking head> Nope...sure don't!

I am going to have to wait for the kids to come before worrying about milk though.. Heck she isn't even in season yet... lol But you know me... I like being prepared :)

Bought some Blue Orpington hens from a guy thsi weekend that said thats who he bought these hens from her.
Any idea what kind of bloodline she has?

It's a neat looking color but that bird could be a green paisley and the shape of him would still suck us in. Looks like you could roll him around with a stick. Anyone know if that's a stable color in the breed, anywhere? Although crele is similar and there are some good UK type over there.
