I found some Dobie pups too. I just thought the picture they captured was perfect. I grew up around a Dobie and it was one of the sweetest dog that too this day I've ever been around. I was waking her once when I was about 7 and a stranger approached me. Now, we where just crossing paths on the sidewalk, but Ginger wasn't having it. She made him walk around us. As soon as he was gone she went right back in to the walk
I would love to get the boys a Dobie, it's just cost much too rationalize it.

Fellow Duck Lovers:

This is my initial sketch for the duck house I'd like to build. It would sit in the chicken run for now, but I may end up expanding the chicken run to give the ducks their own separate area later on. Food and water would be outside of the coop, so it would basically just be for night time shelter/egg laying. Thoughts?

Do you have an ACTUAL pond on your property? If so, I'm over here being jealous again.
Kinda, but not really... Behind our property is 3.5 square miles of preservation. It's mostly cypress marsh with standing water. The lot beside ours is empty but still wild, and about 1/3 of it's under water. It is a natural water source, but not our own pond.

Sounds like a solid plan to me. The ducks are really easy to teach where home is. In a matter of days they'll just start putting themselves to bed. Good idea on leaving the food and water outside.
