Those appear to be scrub brush and not real trees..:lau

What about the lakes, snow, ice and Patti’s mountains?
They are gum trees, maybe 2 or 3 scrubs amoung them. Its Autumn here, 90% of Australias too low for snow. Our "lakes" are only 5% full. Australias lucky to have hills...

I understand now why Australia is considered a third world country....cause it’s like living in Nebraska.... no lake....few trees.... mostly flat...

and dux run wild.....

Say “hi” to my nephew, he lives in NSW, I think.
He has been there about 20 years now... also say “hi” to @Bantambird s parents, they done got themselves stranded somewhere on your lil island...

:lau
Yes.. they are actually stranded in NSW on a farm nestled up against a park on three sides. They figure since they are stuck on the underside of the world they might as well stay, they are as safe there as any remote location ( such as home)

Who knows when they will get home? The hosts have them working for their bread every day, however. There's never a lack of work on the farm.

I also raise marans. I should get one of those egg shell cards but I'm lazy and haven't been goaded into joining either of the marans breed clubs, but mine come in black silver, blue silver, splash, and white(recessive). I have reasonably dark eggsView attachment 2062276View attachment 2062278
However, I'm new to being a shipper.
I will be in touch with you privately about eggs. In general though, feel free to join in on the chat.

It's been a silly long day. I'm beat, bruised, and cramped. I wasn't watching how much I was sweating and over did it.

I almost have the 8' x 3' brooder finished. I've got the walls up, and a HWC top made. I just didn't have any steam left to put in the food/water/heat source in there. So I have 38 chicks (at least, to tired to count) in my living room. It's anything but quiet in there.

The cockerels came in today. Almost every review for these seems to have a couple pullets in the mix which would be cool. It's a box o'cocks!
