Misspelled testing facilites... I like it draw people in!
In relateable news, the rejected state here that brought back covid is having a birdflu outbreak. One egg farm was Identified so they shut down a huge area no moving birds etc. Second neighbouring egg farm identifed, with a second strain, its fine they are in the destroy area anyway, then this week out of no where a turkey farm 100s of km away gets a positive test believed to be by illegal bird movement... 4000 turkeys destroyed. I'm sure our state government is considering building a wall around them.

It is. I'm truley shocked people are willing to risk everyone elses livelihoods for what they think is their gain. Yes, it is so devastating to have to destroy your birds. And I can not imagine having to destroy thousands of birds that provide your sole income. But I would not try to hide away a bird or some eggs and continue to expose more and more flocks to it, including our beautiful wildlife birds because that would be so much more devastating. I would not want to put anyone else in the position I was in.

Okay, I feel better expressing my feelings on it. Now time for coffee!

I have a peacock now.

Well, a peachick, lol. Jury's out on if it's a peacock for awhile yet.

I ended up buying a lot of birds off one of my friends today. She's having some medical issues and wanted to cut down. So, I took home four turkey poults, five Call ducks, six coturnix quail, and the little peachick.
