I dunno! - I just went to a nursery in Houston and asked for a good Mandarin tree and the guy recommended a »Satsuma«. Bought it and after two years i had to support the branches because it was ripping itself apart with fruits. And NUM YUMMY they were!So you guys call them by variety and not family?
Thanks. Hope yours has been good and you sleep well.Hope you have a good day
Hmmm. I don't know the proper terms but I have a variety of oranges, cara cara, Texas, and there's navel and Valencia which I don't have. Satsuma are a different fruit. A type of Mandarin but different varieties all their own. These Ive been picking are Oswarii. I have a different variety that's not ripe yet. They have very loose skin and are easy to peel. The Oswarii are about the size of an orange. Similar to tangerines but sweeter and easier to peel. My lemons are coming in a month early. They are Meyer lemons.I dunno! - I just went to a nursery in Houston and asked for a good Mandarin tree and the guy recommended a »Satsuma«.
