Yep. Do you have anything like salvation army there? They know the people most in need here. They don't just do food for them they find them shelter and clothes and set up job interviews (and provide suitable clothing for such things) and get the kids free tutoring and stuff.

We do but not in a small rural area where I live. We have locally Society of Samaritans. It is similar but a small local charity. I support them some, probably not enough. Salvation Army is focused in big cities here, not rural areas. Its a weakness that I can't stand for anyone to claim they are hungry when the land gives me so much plenty. I have enough food for the zombie apocalypse.

When I give eggs to food pantry I shake the dickens out of each egg before I put it In the carton that way I know they will only be eaten.

I might be getting some muscovies. I have a friend who's cutting back on her birds and has a flock that she wants to sell. I'm leaning towards yes, just gotta decide where I'd want to put them.
