Why not just make a raised bed?
Raised beds require some material, preferrably wood to raise the bed. Due to the lack of any kind of sawmill/chainsaw, i have to buy that wood from one of the big-stores even though i own 38 acres of fores and wood became really expensive…

I hope to one day have bunnies for the kids to enjoy. Among other unsual critters, my parents had a bunny farm briefly when I was little (summer was far too harsh on them) and just getting to go snuggle a fluffy little floppy after school everyday was the best. Not the rex rabbit though, she was a piece of work

Just remember to leave them ½ above ground when you plant the wabbits into the raised bed:D

As silly as it sounds.. one of best ways to keep bunnies over here is to make them PVC pipe tunnels under ground. Simply putting a raised bed ontop of tunnels would save me digging!
Wowser! - And i thought that New South Wales is one of the more "habitable" areas of the Australian continent. How hot can it get in your place during the summer?
