So I called the feed store yesterday to confirm the arrival of more Dorks, and they did not arrive? They where sent Welsummers in substitute.

Hey there, Patti!
The morning is going pretty good here. My FiL being back home is nice. We've missed having Pawpaw around.

Paddy is doing well still. It's been pretty neat watching it adapt. Where the water dish is, Paddy will kind of wedge it self in the corner and drink from there. It drinks a bit slower, so every now and then I make sure it's not sleeping in the water. Good news is I'm just paranoid, and Paddy has the drinking thing under control.

I don't think the is anything wrong with Welsummers, I was just really looking forward to easy access Dorkings again. Also everything I've read about Dorks basically says they make a superior meat. I've quite enjoyed reading about their history.

Although, I did find this handy piece of info on the Wellies. It does make them a slightly smarter choice for my current circumstances.

I lost my spot in bed again this morning. I make the baby a bottle, use the rr, and come back to this.

@casportpony when weighing chicks, do you expect to see any lose from poop? The handicapped chick lost 0.4g in the last day. Is that something you would consider a red flag? It's the bottom pic in the above post.
