Possibly snake eggs???? I would google what each looks like if I were you to identify them. My turtle eggs were about the size of a round quarter.

I have seen eggs from Roman Snails (They are a delicacy in France and are farmed like poultry) and those eggs were the size of small beans. But they had no hard shell, more like a soft egg from one of our feathered friends.

Happy Sunday to Everybody! ​

Nature goes on and shows no mercy! Yesterday Violeta Duck left her nest with three babies in tow, one of them entirely yellow. Today these four came outside again only to be attacked by the crows a few hours later...
The yellow baby is gone, one duckling fled with momma and the third one is sitting under my hand right now, very badly injured. It has a puncture wound on its back and two on its belly. It has lost a lot of blood and out of one of the punctures came yolk.
Fortunately, with the use of triple antibiotics with and without painkillers i was able to stop the bleeding and the yolk leakage.
I let it drink sugar-water to replace the lost liquid and provide some easy accessible calories. I'm afraid to offer solid foot right now because i don't know about any internal injuries.
The plan is to keep the wounds covered in triple antibiotics, continue to provide liquid and keep the duckling warm and calm.

When it rains it pours.

I don't think it would be yolk coming out, but it's alarming nonetheless... Treat for shock, and keep him warm.

Hopefully the CCI can bring some of those eggs to hatching. New life has a way of making the loss more bearable.

It slipped away, peacefully curled up in my hand at 3:30am.
I feel very numb and tired - that will be an interesting call with my new customer at 11…

It has been the worst duck-year by far, we were just counting who we lost this year: Pinball Duck, Pompom Duck, Misty Duck and another duck is missing but i wasn't able to figure out who. Then we lost three of Buffzilla's ducklings, our little bundle of joy and now two of Violeta's babies. - And i am not sure about her last duckling because she's behaving irresponsible, not staying close to the house with the little one…
