Woot! Just made a trade with someone for a purebred Magpie drake! He'll take one of my mixed Magpie hens in exchange. Worked out perfectly.

I also got a chance to explain Crested genetics to him at the same time.

I love my little Call ducks but my one hen when she is upset lets everyone within 15 miles of me know it, lol. Luckily she's rarely upset.

I find it amazing that ducks can fit through these small spaces to get to places you don’t want them to lay eggs. A legit fence was necessary to keep them out, otherwise they kept finding a way.

Two of the girls wanted to go broody. Do you know how hard it is to catch two of them out at the same time? Very. I had to resort to peas AND larvae and no feeding earlier in the day. Excited calls from the third girl got them out and I FINALLY got the area blocked off.
