I had read where if you lose 10 pounds it takes 40 pounds of pressure off of your back. I have had back issues off and on so I decided the one thing in my diet was sweets that I ate constantly and that I would give them up. On July 5th of this year I decided no more cake, candy, donuts or goodies of such. If it already had sugar in it such as canned veggies or cereal like corn flakes I would still eat that. I have lost 20 pounds. I am 5'5 and weighed around 153 and now weight 133. I feel so much better and really don't miss those sweets like I used to. I can reach those duck eggs that they like to hide so well so much better with a smaller belly and my back really does feel better. Good luck on your diet.
A couple of years ago i decided to avoid sodas as much as possible. I usually drink ½ and ½ apple juice and sparkling water. My cholesterol measures almost immediately went down and i started to loose weight slowly. I peaked out at almost 400lbs in 2016 and i'm now constantly below 250.
Avoid High Fructose Corn Syrup at all cost!! - Too much fructose will cause diabetes type 2.

If you have serious health problems in WV you are supposed to be able to go to your local Health and Human Services department and you could be eligible for Medicare even if you are not 65. That is what I saw online. It would be worth a try. If not this, I have friends that have lost their jobs and needed health care and they went to either Lowes or Home Depot and got a job and then had health coverage. Their jobs were not too demanding and one person we know that works there is 85 years young and loves it. I wish you good luck Frank and pray that you can find something that will help your situation.

It won't be big enough for ducks (this year). But yes, it's against the trailer to serve as insulation too.
That was one of the ideas when i started to insulate my patio two years ago. Add an additional layer of warm(er) air to the outside of the house to save on the heating bill.
There's a family in Sweden (if i remember correctly) who has built a greenhouse around their whole house. Then they removed the roof of their house and turned the attic into an indoor patio.

There are plenty of seasonal jobs open here, but for me they come with two strings attached:
  1. No benefits at all
  2. Minimum wage, they pay less than my UB
Especially #2 would be devastating: When the season and the job is over my new UB would be calculated after the minimum wage…
I just need to apply, apply and apply some more and hope for the best.

Yes, I've seen that and I would love to do something like that!

Found it! - It is a family in Norway:
I would love to do that with my house!

The Mallards have chosen their new Queen. 👑
Has anybody ever seen a crested Mallard in the wild? - During the last months this beautiful crested Mallard is showing up here to feed in the duck yard:

I am not sure weather the crested gene, lurking in my flock has found its way into the local Mallard population or if that is a spontaneous mutation. Does anybody know how likely crests appear in Mallard populations?

I have seen one come to think about it, our neighbor has it a few streets over and it came from our local Rural King. I had forgotten all about it until I thought about this.
