The last two times I fell flat on my face but thanks God It was in soft grassy earth. It was kind of nice actually I just stayed there rolled over and looked at the sky for a while.

Usually, when i fall forward i land on my knees and hands; when falling backwards i "sit down" rapidly. Critical for me is when i slip sideways or suddenly drop.

For sure, he has a regular grow room with lights, watering and a shop to put it all in.

My Dream! - I'm trying to turn my screened in patio into a sun-/grow-room but was hindered by some "pesky" duxlings for the last two years. But this year…

Cold! lol

Weather is going through menopause. It's warm, it's cold, it's warm, it's cold. Warm being relative. And I'm out shovelling every other day.

Ducks are getting annoyed with it, I can tell! They come running out in the morning only to turn tail and said F that, I'm going back to bed! That's mostly the scovies though. The Quackers are insane. Jumping in the tub of fresh water first thing. Or even bathing in the horrible white stuff.

We're having an early preview of spring, temps up to 14 C = 57 F. Tricky because the trees that are not inclined to sleep deeply will wake up and then the next freeze can crack their bark.

Ducks are overjoyed ofc The 2 drakes (2023, 2024) are getting ready for spring, starting to be a bit annoyed with each other...

In a month we expect delivery of 10 x Welsh Harlequin eggs and after those are hatched (fingers crossed) we'll do a batch of our own KC eggs. Almost all the expected ducklings are reserved in advance ... Maybe this could be a steady (very small) business. 30 EUR per duckling seems realistic, there are for some reason very few people left in my country who raise these breeds.

Hey everybody, please pray right now. Pray pray pray for Miss Lydia and her family and her ducks geese and other animals to all be safe safe right now they live in Western North Carolina in the mountains where the mudslides killed and destroyed all around them and right now there are wildfires there and evacuations being ordered, and the roads are not even good yet she still doesn’t have Internet since the hurricane Helene so they didn’t even know right away. Please pray that they will be safe and able to evacuate everyone if they have to.

On Twitter I saw big columns of trucks and heavy equipment heading to clear things up in NC. I hope this news is true (often hard to say nowadays when so much digital content can be faked).

How are all our quack shack friends?

My Wood Ducks arrived yesterday morning and they are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! They get along with all of my other ducks just fine so I am totally Blessed. They are skittish around me which I expected but totally at home with all of the others. There was no phone number on the box so I am very fortunate that I had made a personal visit to our post office to give them instructions on who would come and get them and the phone number.

I feel so bad for her, if it is not one thing it is another. She even tried to get on the internet to get on here at the library and could not. I pray that she stays safe along with others and her flock. It's supposed to rain there so hopefully that will help with the smoke and fires.
