That is cool.
That is really cool looking Chris.
Here ya go. There are a few more longer ones on youtube, but this one has some neat info.I love humming birds we only get the Ruby throated here but they are so magnificent, I love to sit outside in summer an watch them zoom around. I'll have to check out the time lapsed nest building.
You need to check out this guys page. It's where I got the idea, but you can use any water source. He even did one with rain water and it indeed had life in it. It so easy I can't figure out why my windows are not lined with them already. That is really cool looking. It looks like something my mom would enjoy making.![]()
Whew! I'm glad you are not having predator issues. I am sadly, got coon problems. 2 birds snatched over the last 2 weeks, and yesterday I had one stalking my birds in broad day light. I ordered some traps last night after finding one snooping around the turkey pin.I had quite the week, I thought a predator was trying to claw their way to the coops but the muscovies have been picking off the wood!!Very cute guys

One of the quail ladies tried to "attack" me this mornig. It wasn't the normal bite at my ring, but at my actual hand. I was pretty surprised to be honest. It didn't hurt or anything, it's just that they are so small, but clearly not scared lol.I'm growing onto birds, I really want quail and eventually a peacock and peahen...maybe some pheasants![]()
