When I went to North Carolina in the summer it was nice, the heat wasn't TO bad, but I also went around the time a hurricane was coming. Not sure when I went... maybe 2013? 2014? Around that time.. might even be 2012. I have horrible memory of time line.

When we lived there with so many people moving in we use to say that we would be one of the ones to make it to the main land when Florida broke off from the rest of the country because of the weight. We had a canoe. We have mountains all around us and mt Mitchell is right behind us it's at over 6000'

It hasn't changed Patti. There's still tons of people coming, more developments, more apartments. Less trees, more roads.

I don't see how there could be any wild life left there honestly. Our friend who has a cabin down the road from us lives in Winter Haven and she said they have taken all the land that the cranes use to hang out in and now they walk around on the roads and neighborhoods.
