good save I know the feeling. my chickens are not very happy about being cooped up for another day. at least it is cold and rainy out and they hate rain.It seriously must be hawk day. I’m outside shoveling compost into my garden beds, so I let the chickens out for a bit since I’m literally right there. They weren’t out 5 minutes and a super spy hawk swoops down and grabs a baby silkie chick. I ran over there and threw my pitchfork near him. He took off and thankfully left the silkie unscathed. Back in the coop they go. That’s what I get for trying to let them free range for 2.5 seconds.
