Yesterday Dino decided to lay with Ollie. I think he knew something was not right. He had never done it before. Ollie wasn't confined to the crate the entire time, just at night. When I came in from doing chores yesterday, this is how I found them.

Dogs just have a way of knowing!

Dino was going crazy this morning. He could hear and smell the chicks. We've gone through this with every hatch and I think it's because he know he gets to meet the new babies. When they come out of the incubator I'll take each chick and let him smell and take a lick, then tell him "It's not for you" and we've never had an issue with him birthing the chicks.

In regards to "not for you." I can leave a steak on the coffee table and as long as I let him know it's not his, he won't touch it. Forget to tell him though and it's obviously his steak. ;)

It literally take this to get him to calm down during hatching tint. Yup, paws on the counter top.
