The Quack Shack

He is one of the two first Light Brahms. He was born 8/5/19.

The first two are his sister for a bit of size comparison.

This is just him.

He's not very filled in yet, but he is growing a big frame under those feathers. He's tall enough that if he mingles around the yard with the turkeys he just blends in.
He's beautiful Chris.

He's nice to have around. In general he doesn't cause any trouble. The Cuckoo Marans boy has been dominant over him. I'm wondering if that has something to do with him being a little submissive.

The Marans boy won't be with us much longer. His stay is about fulfilled. He's been a butthead ever since he was a chick.

I just found one of Annie's chicks dead. It was the blonde bantam. It almost looks like it was trampled in the food dish. I'm thinking about moving the other bantam chick inside with the smaller chicks.

Sorry to hear you lost one. :(

I lost one this morning too but due to a predator

What do you guys do with all your eggs? I'm busting out of the fridge a lot of days! I keep all my neighbors and family in the area well stocked!
I sell them, give them away, and of course, eat them! I have 23 hens and I have a fridge just for eggs! ;)
