Butchering your female ducks too?
No, continue to raise/keep male and female ducks, but only male chickens. I just love roosters, and I prefer duck eggs over chicken eggs now.

I don't think I'd be as happy though. I don't really interact with the boys, I just let them do their job. The ladies though are much more social.

I want a snake or another reptile like a bearded dragon or gecko lol

I want to get my son a bearded dragon when he gets a bit older.

I've got a beardie :) Her name is Caramel. I've had her since she was just barely as long as my index finger.

They are, unfortunately, one of the most abused types of reptiles. Mainly because they are so popular as pets, but people don't bother to do the proper research before getting them, so they keep them in tanks that are way too small (40 gallon breeder is the bare minimum) or keep them on sand (never should be kept on sand) or don't get the proper lighting for them (they need UVB lighting set up a certain way) or don't get the vitamins and minerals they need, etc etc.

I was laughing to myself while you all were going on about cockroaches, because I have a breeding colony of cockroaches under my bed :p Dubia roaches, for Caramel. And the birds get to eat all the extra males, too.

Here she is:
