I trimmed some toenails today. . . that's the only reason I was holding her.
She sat for a few minutes after. They don't typically enjoy being held.

Awww calls are the cutest! But all my birds have to have a "job". From what I've read they are poor layers, but what do you think? also they are too small to feed my family

Let me remind you, people eat quail. And I'm pretty sure those delicious looking bacon wrapped duck breast where calls too. What about being cute? That's a hard enough job!

All the hatching and baby pics floating around here has given me baby fever so...

I've decided to set a few duck eggs and hope for the best! Don't want anymore drakes so those will be paired with bacon, but the ladies I will keep to up my duck egg production, and keep Tom busy.
They'll be Runner/KC mix, so I'm hoping for a pretty good all around duck!
